Getting tourist visa for Bhutan can be arduous. There is a host of issues in application, fee payment and amendments you have to contend with before you finally land yourself a permit to enter Bhutan and go on a vacation of a lifetime to this mysterious land.

Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Finalize your travel plan: travel dates, flight routes, entry points into Bhutan, number of people if you are traveling in group.
Step 2: Get your documents ready. In this case, your valid passport and passport-sized photo.
Step 3: Calculate the fees. There are two types of fees you need to pay: Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) and Visa Fee. The SDF is charged daily (and the rates may be changed according to the Government’s tourism policy). But the visa fee is a one-time fee of USD 40 per applicant.
Use the guide by the Department of Immigration of Bhutan to calculate your Total Fee = SDF + Visa Fee. This amount is payable to the Department of Immigration of Bhutan at the time of lodging your visa application.
Step 4: Provide us all the details including a scan of your passport and digital passport-sized photo. Our agent will contact you to ask for all the details you need to provide, including the total fee you need to pay to the Government of Bhutan for your tourist visa.
Step 5: Transfer the Total Fee + the visa facilitation fee of US$12 per application to our account (USD, British Pound, Euro, Australian Dollar, and all major currencies accepted).
Step 6: We process your visa and email you the visa clearance.
That’s it.
If, for some reasons, you need to change your dates or cancel your trip, we will process the amendment and refund. We may charge a fee of US$5 for amendment or refund, and banking charges for transfer of the money back to your account, if applicable.
